Covid Sudden Death Study को लेकर इंडियन काउंसिल ऑफ मेडिकल रिसर्च (ICMR) और नेशनल सेंटर फॉर डिजीज कंट्रोल (NCDC) ने एक अहम रिपोर्ट जारी की है। इस स्टडी में दावा किया गया है कि 18 से 45 साल के लोगों में हार्ट अटैक से होने वाली अचानक मौतों का कोविड वैक्सीन से कोई सीधा संबंध नहीं है। यह स्टडी उन युवाओं पर केंद्रित है जिनकी अचानक मृत्यु हुई, जिससे वैक्सीन को लेकर फैली भ्रांतियों पर विराम लग सकता है।

स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी प्रेस रिलीज के अनुसार, Covid Sudden Death Study में स्पष्ट किया गया है कि भारत में दी गई कोविड वैक्सीन पूरी तरह से सुरक्षित और प्रभावी रही है। गंभीर साइड इफेक्ट्स के मामले अत्यंत दुर्लभ पाए गए हैं।

ICMR और NCDC ने मिलकर दो प्रमुख अध्ययन किए हैं:

  1. पहला अध्ययन – रेट्रोस्पेक्टिव डेटा के आधार पर
  2. दूसरा अध्ययन – रियल टाइम इन्वेस्टिगेशन आधारित

पहला अध्ययन: कोविड वैक्सीन नहीं बढ़ाती अचानक मौत का खतरा

Covid Sudden Death Study के पहले भाग में, ICMR के नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ एपिडेमियोलॉजी ने मई 2023 से अगस्त 2023 के बीच 19 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के 47 अस्पतालों से डेटा इकट्ठा किया। इसमें ऐसे युवाओं की जानकारी ली गई जो पहले स्वस्थ थे लेकिन अक्टूबर 2021 से मार्च 2023 के बीच अचानक मौत का शिकार हो गए।

स्टडी में पाया गया कि इन मौतों में कोविड वैक्सीन की कोई प्रत्यक्ष भूमिका नहीं रही है। इसका मतलब है कि वैक्सीन लेने वालों में अचानक मौत का जोखिम बढ़ा नहीं है।

दूसरा अध्ययन: हार्ट अटैक और जेनेटिक म्यूटेशन हैं असली कारण

AIIMS और ICMR द्वारा किए जा रहे दूसरे अध्ययन के तहत Covid Sudden Death Study का फोकस अचानक मृत्यु के वास्तविक कारणों की पहचान पर है। शुरुआती नतीजों में बताया गया कि मायोकार्डियल इंफार्क्शन (MI) या हार्ट अटैक, युवाओं में अचानक मृत्यु का प्रमुख कारण है।

इस स्टडी में यह भी कहा गया कि जेनेटिक म्यूटेशन, जीवनशैली, और पहले से मौजूद बीमारियाँ जैसे डायबिटीज या हाई ब्लड प्रेशर भी मौत के पीछे की वजहें हो सकती हैं।

वैक्सीन से जुड़ी पूर्व की रिपोर्ट्स और दावे

Covid Sudden Death Study के अलावा, वैक्सीन को लेकर पहले भी दो प्रमुख दावे किए गए थे जिनमें साइड इफेक्ट्स की बात की गई थी।

1. कोवीशील्ड और TTS का दावा

ब्रिटेन की फार्मा कंपनी एस्ट्राजेनेका ने माना था कि कोवीशील्ड (Covishield) से Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) जैसे दुर्लभ मामले हो सकते हैं। हालांकि, यह अत्यंत रेयर केस होते हैं।

भारत में सीरम इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया ने इसी फॉर्मूले से कोवीशील्ड का उत्पादन किया और अब तक 175 करोड़ से ज्यादा डोज दी जा चुकी हैं।

2. कोवैक्सिन और गुलियन बेरी सिंड्रोम

BHU द्वारा किए गए एक अध्ययन में बताया गया कि कोवैक्सिन (Covaxin) लेने वाले कुछ प्रतिभागियों में Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), ब्लड क्लॉटिंग और मासिक धर्म अनियमितता जैसे साइड इफेक्ट्स देखे गए। हालांकि, ये भी बेहद सीमित मामलों में पाए गए हैं।

क्यों जरूरी है Covid Sudden Death Study?

कोविड महामारी के बाद से अचानक मौतों को वैक्सीन से जोड़कर देखा जा रहा था। सोशल मीडिया और कई अफवाहों के कारण लोगों में डर बना हुआ था। Covid Sudden Death Study ने वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों के आधार पर स्पष्ट किया है कि वैक्सीन से कोई बड़ा खतरा नहीं है।

स्टडी के अनुसार, इन मौतों की वजहों में लाइफस्टाइल (जैसे धूम्रपान, मोटापा, फिजिकल इनएक्टिविटी), जेनेटिक फैक्टर्स, और कोविड के बाद के कॉम्प्लिकेशन अहम भूमिका निभाते हैं।
