Shivakumar have tentatively allocated 47 acres for this initiative. This expansion will further Lord Venkateswara’s presence across South India, catering to a wider community of devotees.

Eco-Friendly Transport for Pilgrims

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, TTD has secured approval for 100 electric buses from the Ministry of Heavy Industries, facilitated by Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. These buses will operate between Tirupati and Tirumala, providing a greener option for pilgrims and reducing environmental impact.

Lord Venkateswara’s Temple Offerings to Be Tested at CSIR Lab

In a bid to maintain the quality of prasadam offerings at the Lord Venkateswara temple, TTD has agreed to lease about 30 acres of land to the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for establishing a lab in Tirupati. This facility will test essential items like ghee, water, and food ingredients used in daily rituals, ensuring only the highest standards are maintained.

Educational Modernization and Recruitment Freeze

The TTD board also approved the modernization of the TTD Degree College in New Delhi. Additionally, the board has recommended a temporary halt to recruitment in TTD-run institutions. A special three-member committee headed by Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy will review the concerns of nearly 200 contract lecturers who have long awaited regularization.

With a mission to instill moral and spiritual values in youth, the board is launching the ‘Mana Varasatvam’ and ‘Sadgamaya’ programmes. To increase spiritual engagement, TTD plans to launch programs like Harikatha Vaibhavam, Bhagavad Gita Anushtana Bodhana, Bhaje Srinivasam, and others. These events aim to spread the teachings of Lord Venkateswara and attract participation from diverse communities.

Celebrating World Yoga Day with Devotion

In recognition of holistic well-being, the TTD will observe World Yoga Day on June 21 at the parade grounds behind its administrative buildings. This initiative aligns physical wellness with the spiritual path championed by Venkateswara.

Redesigning the Airport in Lord Venkateswara’s Image

The proposed renaming is not the only update planned for Renigunta Airport. TTD also recommends redesigning the airport to reflect Tirumala’s spiritual and architectural beauty. From carvings to murals, the airport could soon resemble the divine aesthetics of Lord Venkateswara’s sacred abode.
