New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the Stefon Diggs boat video during a media session on Wednesday. Diggs was not present at the team’s voluntary organized team activity (OTA), just a day after the video surfaced.
Vrabel confirmed that the team is aware of the situation, stating:
“It’s something we’re aware of, and obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field. Any conversations I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and the club.”
When asked if he has spoken to Diggs since the Stefon Diggs boat video went viral, Vrabel replied,
“I talk to our players every single day — the ones that are here and the ones that aren’t.”
Stefon Diggs’ Current Status With the Patriots
The Patriots signed Stefon Diggs, 31, to a three-year, $69 million deal in March. He’s currently recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in Week 8 last season with the Houston Texans. Although Diggs missed Wednesday’s OTA, he has attended other portions of the offseason program.
Vrabel mentioned that the staff is working hard to get Diggs back on the field, saying:
“When he’s here, we’ll coach him and have him ready to go.”
